As of July 4, early grains and pulses were harvested from 576 thousand ha (6% of the intended area) compared with 502 thousand ha as of July 6, 2015. Farmers obtained 2040 KMT with average yields of 3.54 MT/ha. By July 6, 2015 grain harvest had reached 1530 KMT with average productivity of 3.05 MT/ha.
Wheat was gathered from 99 thousand ha (86 thousand ha in 2015), 369 KMT obtained, the average yields reached 3.74 MT/ha (3.2 MT/ha last year). Farmers harvested barley from 457 thousand ha (16% of the intended 2793 thousand ha) compared with 384 thousand ha in 2015. Barley production had reached 1609 KMT by July 4, with average yields at 3.52 MT/ha (1196 KMT with yields at 3.11 MT/ha in 2015).
Farmers harvested 61 KMT of peas from 21 thousand ha (9% of the intended area), the average productivity equaled 2.95 MT/ha. By July 6, 2015 nearly 59 KMT of peas had been gathered from 32 thousand ha with average yields 1.87 MT/ha. (Blackseagrain/Business World Magazine)
