Coal stocks in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants (TPPs) are almost at the minimum supply level – 19.2 million tons, according to Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Kistion.
“The situation with the heating season is stable and under control, no unexpectedness. As I’ve noted, ‘Armageddon’ is not expected, coal stocks are almost at the minimum supply level. They total (and Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman has recently noted this) 1.9-2 million tons,” the minister wrote on Facebook following a meeting dedicated to the issues of the united energy system of Ukraine.
Kistion also stressed that the amount of coal stocks must not go down the specified level.
“I’ve also noted that coal stocks at Ladyzhynska TPP should be replenished,” the Vice Prime Minister added. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
