During January-September, about 8.4 thousand individual entrepreneurs expressed a desire to start their own business and officially registered a business in Kharkiv.
According to the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Kharkiv region, during the same period, 279 individual entrepreneurs chose Kharkiv as a new location for their activities and changed their tax address. As of October 1, the number of individual entrepreneurs in Kharkiv was about 123.8 thousand people.
The Department of Administrative Services and Consumer Market noted that, despite the challenges of wartime, entrepreneurial activity in Kharkiv was maintained, and business was adapting to new conditions.
“These indicators indicate not only the number of registered entrepreneurs. Behind them are people starting their own businesses, teams continuing to work, enterprises resuming operations after damage, and businesses looking for new formats of work in wartime. Entrepreneurs ensure the functioning of the city’s economy, fill the market with goods and services, preserve and create jobs, pay taxes, and support the daily life of Kharkiv,” they noted.
