Armenia has exported 60 tons of Armenian fish and fish products to the United Arab Emirates, the Food Safety Inspection Body reports.
Taking into account strong demand in the UAE market, the Food Safety Inspection Body is ready to connect interested fish farming and exporting companies with an organization exporting to the UAE to establish further cooperation.
The product in demand is trout weighing four kilograms or more. It must comply with established safety requirements.
The inspection body has invited companies that have suitable consignments and are willing to cooperate with the exporting organization to contact the Food Safety Inspection Body.
Russia has banned imports of Armenian fish and fish products into its market. Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan previously said Armenia had officially received authorization from the European Commission to export Armenian-produced fish and fish products, and had received a package outlining the relevant procedures and requirements.
