Wines made in the Republic of Moldova won 66 medals at the 33rd edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2026, held in Yerevan.
Moldova thus recorded the best performance among all participating countries that presented more than 100 wines, with a success rate of 52.4%, or 66 medals out of 126 wines entered.
Of the 66 medals obtained by our country, seven are Grand Gold medals, 32 are Gold medals, and 27 are Silver medals. The National Office of Vine and Wine emphasized that this result is a recognition of the work of producers who focus on the quality and authenticity of Moldovan wines.
The 33rd edition of the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, held in Yerevan, brought together nearly 7,700 wines from 51 countries. These were evaluated by an international jury.
The wine sector remains strategic for the national economy, contributing approximately 16% to the value of agriculture in the Republic of Moldova, according to data from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry. In 2024, wine exports reached $234.7 million, and the industry provides around 150,000 jobs. (Moldpres)
