Bulgaria’s expenditure on importing Azerbaijani gas rose to 24.3 million euros in July, slightly up from 23.9 million euros in the same period of 2023, Eurostat, the European Union’s statistical office, reported.
This marks a year-on-year increase of nearly 1.7% in Bulgaria’s gas import costs from Azerbaijan.
Over the first seven months of 2024, Bulgaria’s total spending on Azerbaijani gas amounted to 165.5 million euros, down by 15.6%.
In terms of volume, Azerbaijan supplied 77.2 million cubic meters of gas to Bulgaria in July, a slight decrease from the 77.3 million cubic meters delivered in July 2023, representing a 0.13% drop.
From January to July, Bulgaria imported 530 million cubic meters of gas from Azerbaijan, down by 0.65%. (Trend)
