June’s inflation in Latvia was higher than the average in the European Union and Eurozone, according to the latest data published by Eurostat.
Compared to June 2021, inflation was registered in all EU member states in June 2022.
In June, average inflation was 9.6% in the European Union and 8.6% in Eurozone. Compared to May, consumer prices in the EU increased by 0.9% and 0.8% in Eurozone in June.
Inflation was the highest in Baltic States.
Inflation in Latvia was 19.2%. It was higher in Estonia and Lithuania – 22% and 20.5% respectively.
Compared to May, consumer prices in Latvia increased by 2.4% in June. In Lithuania prices increased by 2.2% and in Estonia – by 2.8%. (BNN/Business World Magazine)
