Ukrainian banks have generated UAH 9.9 billion in net profit over the past two months. The relevant statement was made by the National Bank of Ukraine.
“In January-February, solvent banks generated UAH 9.9 billion in net profit, which was 53% higher compared to the same period last year (UAH 6.5 billion),” the report states.
During this period, the banks’ revenues increased by 41%, to UAH 49.5 billion, and expenses – by 39%, to UAH 39.6 billion.
Despite the war in Ukraine, Ukrainian banks are maintaining stability and liquidity. As of February 1, the regulatory capital of banks was UAH 219 billion, which was its historically highest value. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
