Lithuania has so far supplied 29 million euro-worth of military assistance to Ukraine, according to MP Laurynas Kasciunas, chairman of the parliamentary Committee on National Security and Defense.
“Lithuania has provided military aid worth a total of 29 million euros, which, basically, equals to 40 HGVs, and in absolute terms, we are among the top-10 countries, or we are even getting closer to the top-5,” Kasciunas told reporters at the parliament, Seimas, on March 16.
He refrained from specifying what forms the aid took, saying the issue was discussed during a closed-door committee meeting.
Some details about Lithuania’s military shipments to Ukraine, however, have been made public earlier, he added.
“Stingers, of course, are the crown of it all, but there are other things, ammunition, other vital things,” Kasciunas said. (LRT/Business World Magazine)
