Georgia will export both animal and plant products, including small and large cattle and locally produced honey, to Saudi Arabia, the Head of the National Food Agency Zurab Chekurashvili has announced.
Chekurashvili said the agreement between the countries had been reached after the Georgian side provided their Saudi colleagues with information on their product control system and veterinary measures.
The Georgian delegation headed by Chekurashvili was on an official visit to Saudi Arabia to discuss prospects of future cooperation.
In January, Georgia exported locally produced goods worth $331.3 million, up by 47.6%. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
