In January-July, Ukraine’s trade turnover with countries of the world amounted to $55.48 billion.
According to data provided by the State Customs Service, Ukraine imported goods worth $28.8 billion, down by 13% YoY. Exports of goods amounted to $26.6 billion, down by 7%. Accordingly, the foreign trade balance of Ukraine in January-July was negative and totaled $2.2 billion.
The share of EU countries in the total volume of imports of goods into Ukraine in January-July made up 43% and CIS countries – 16%. The share of EU countries in exports of goods from Ukraine in the same period was 37% and CIS countries – 13%.
The main export deliveries consisted of grain crops (18.5% of the total volume), ferrous metals (16.9%), fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin (12.8%). Among import deliveries were mineral fuel, oil and products of its distillation (15.8%), nuclear reactors, boilers, machinery, equipment and mechanical devices (10.7%), vehicles, their parts and equipment (9.6%).
