A bill put forward to the Georgian parliament proposes to identify dangerous parts on Georgian highways with black dots.
Up to 300 meters of roads will be identified as dangerous if at least four accidents have been registered in the area in the last three years resulting in fatalities and/or up to ten people being injured or killed by the accidents.
The dangerous parts of the roads will be identified by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Construction work or other activities will be carried out by the Roads Department of Georgia or by the municipalities.
6,608 individuals have been killed and up to 85,946 received injuries in Georgia in road accidents over the past ten years, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia said in April 2019. (Agenda/Business World Magazine)
