The deficit of Ukraine’s foreign trade in goods in January-May amounted to $2,054.9 million, up by 44.4% YoY. This data was provided by the State Statistics Service of Ukraine.
In January-May Ukraine’s total imports of goods made up $21,515.0 million, or 115.3% compared to January-May 2017.
Ukraine’s total exports of goods over the reporting period amounted to $19,460.1 million, or 112.9% compared to January-May 2017.
“The deficit amounted to $2,054.9 million (in January-May 2017 the deficit was $1,422.7 million),” the State Statistics Serve reported.
The export/import coverage ratio over the reporting period totaled 0.90 compared to 0.92 for January-May 2017. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
