“Ukrposhta operates according to modern business principles: assets that are not used and do not create value for the client should not remain a financial burden for the company. The funds received will be directed to development. At the same time, Ukrposhta remains vital for millions of Ukrainians, ensuring the delivery of pensions, social payments, medicines and essential goods, in particular in frontline and remote communities. Additional resources for development will allow it to continue to perform an important social function,” said Oleksiy Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for the Reconstruction of Ukraine – Minister of Community and Territorial Development of Ukraine.
The properties sold were not used in operational activities, but continued to create a financial burden. Only taxes on such real estate amounted to at least UAH 3.5 million annually, excluding costs for maintenance, security and utilities.
The cheapest lot was the post office building in the village of Zhdeniyevo in Transcarpathia – it was sold for 408 thousand UAH.
In total, the company put up for sale about 20 objects. Only those assets that are not involved in operational activities are put up for auction. Their sale does not affect the availability of services for customers, but allows directing resources to the development of key areas – logistics, services and improving the efficiency of the company.
