Since the fuel cashback program began on March 20, two million Ukrainian drivers have already taken advantage of it.
The program was introduced as a tool to provide rapid support to citizens amid rising global fuel prices, aimed to help reduce household expenses. Ukrainians have received tangible financial support and the opportunity to save up to UAH 1,000 per month.
“Since the fuel cashback program kicked off, over 322,000 new users have joined. On average, more than 150,000 drivers use the cashback every day. This shows that the program is working-we are helping people reduce their daily expenses and promoting the development of cashless payments. We are also stimulating domestic demand, as the cashback can only be spent on goods and services produced in Ukraine,” noted Oleksii Sobolev, Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture of Ukraine.
Compensation is provided for every liter of fuel:
– 15% – for diesel;
– 10% – for gasoline;
– 5% – for autogas.
The funds are credited to the National Cashback card and can be used to pay for utilities or postal services, purchase medicines, books, and Ukrainian-made products, thereby further supporting domestic demand.
219 petrol station chains have already joined the program-ranging from large national operators to local ones. This ensures its availability to drivers throughout Ukraine.
The program runs until May 1.
Fuel cashback is provided as part of the National Cashback Government’s program, which already has over 4.5 million active users. (Government portal)
