In the first quarter of 2026, local budgets received UAH 132.8 billion. This is 15% more than in the same period last year.
The largest share of revenues is traditionally provided by the personal income tax – almost UAH 76 billion (+18.8%).
Significant sources were:
– Single tax – UAH 21.8 billion (+10.4%);
– Property taxes – UAH 14.6 billion (+13.4%);
– Corporate income tax – UAH 11.8 billion (+3.6%).
Growth is also observed in individual payments. Thus, revenues from the tourist tax increased by 23.6% and amounted to 82.2 million UAH. Communities received 23.4% more in rent for the use of subsoil – 250.6 million UAH.
Positive dynamics are also demonstrated by the parking fee – 56.2 million UAH (+17.5%) and the environmental tax – almost 400 million UAH (+4.8%).
These funds are the basis of the financial capacity of communities. It is at their expense that the functioning of educational and medical institutions is ensured, social programs are financed and infrastructure damaged as a result of the war is restored.
Timely and full payment of taxes directly affects the ability of communities to support vital services and develop. In conditions of martial law, this is not only a matter of financial discipline, but also the contribution of each payer to the stability of the state and support of the local level.
At the same time, work continues to improve the quality of tax administration: procedures are being simplified, digital services are being developed, and interaction with taxpayers is being strengthened, which contributes to an increase in the level of voluntary payment. (State Tax Service)
