The Hungarian Wizz Air carrier will launch Vilnius-Tallinn flights on December 12.
“Work to add new destinations to our flight schedule continues every day,” said Tallinn Airport communications specialist Jane Kallaste.
At present, only the Latvian airBaltic airline operates flights between Vilnius and the Estonian capital.
The capitals of the three Baltic States have been recently connected by a train route, which requires two interchanges between Vilnius and Tallinn. The construction of a high-speed rail line, Rail Baltica, is experiencing delays and is due to be completed in 2030. (LRT)
