The Agriculture and Food Industry Ministry (MAIA) has launched the third call of submitting files within the programme of post-investment grants, meant for the sustainable management of lands. The call is valid for the period of September 18 – October 20.
The post-investment grants are meant for compensating the expenses for the purchasing of agricultural equipment and enforcement of measures, which ensure the conservation and amelioration of soils.
“Private agricultural producers are invited to ask for financing, who are registered in accordance with Moldova’s legislation, work and made eligible investments in the agricultural sector and will present the proof of co-financing from their own sources. The grants will not exceed 30% of the value of the eligible investment, with a maximal ceiling of up to $10,000 per one beneficiary and will be provided through the Agency of Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA). One beneficiary can be eligible for a single post-investment grant,” MAIA said.
Among the equipment eligible for financing are: sowers, choppers, watering pots, No-Till harvesting combines; Strip-Till technologies; equipment for irrigation systems.
“At the same time, financing will be provided for the implementation of agro-technical, phyto-ameliorative and hydro-technical measures, which lead to soil’s amelioration,” the quoted source added. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
