All taxi operators will be able to take over passengers from the Chisinau International Airport, Deputy Prime Minister, Infrastructure and Regional Development Minister Andrei Spinu has declared.
According to the official, the taxi operators will have an arranged car park, where they will wait to take over passengers.
“Indicators guiding passengers to taxi drivers will be set at the airport’s exit terminal. The principle of work will be first come, first served. In this way, the jam outside the airport will be avoided and taxi drivers will no longer stay at the exit to take over passengers,” Andrei Spinu said on a social network.
The official stressed that the Chisinau International Airport had issued a regulation, which explained in detail how the entire procedure was to be carried out. At the same time, a meeting with representatives of taxi companies, where the new regulation will be set forth, will be held this week.
So far, only a single taxi company has had permission to stand outside the airport. The contract with this company has not been extended. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
