During the war with Russia, Ukraine has lost about 35% of its export potential of grains and oilseeds, the First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine Taras Vysotsky has said.
He recalled that since the beginning of the full-scale Russia’s invasion, Ukraine had exported more than 26 million tons of grain, pulses and oilseeds, including more than 5.5 million tons of wheat, more than 10 million tons of corn, 2.4 million tons of rapeseed and 2 million tons of each sunflower oil and seed.
“The smallest volumes were shipped in the first months of the war, then they were gradually increasing. However, during this period, the potential of approximately 15 million tons was lost. During this period in peacetime, we could export about 40 million tons in total,” Vysotsky said. (APK-Inform/Business World Magazine)
