Fifty more armoured Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTV) will reach Lithuania in November, Deputy Minister of Defence Vilius Semeska has announced.
“50 of the 200 units ordered under the contract will be delivered to Lithuania in early November,” he said in a Facebook post.
Representatives of the Defence Materiel Agency are currently in the United States to inspect the equipment, he added.
This will be the second shipment of JLTVs to Lithuania after the first 50 vehicles armed with 12.7 mm machine guns arrived in Lithuania last autumn.
Lithuania has acquired a total of 200 JLTVs made by Oshkosh Defence, an American company, under a contract worth 145 million euros.
All the JLTVs are expected to be delivered to Lithuania until 2024. (LRT/Business World Magazine)
