Since the beginning of 2022, Ukraine has paid off $1.5 billion in foreign debt, Oleh Ustenko, adviser to the President of Ukraine on economic issues, has said.
“We had to repay $3 billion for this year. We have already repaid $1.5 billion this year and we have another $1.5 billion left to pay off until the end of the year,” he said.
According to Ustenko, the Finance Ministry of Ukraine made the right decision, requesting creditors to postpone foreign-debt payments. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
