World Health Organization (WHO) has donated to the Ministry of Health a new batch of medicines, medical supplies and disinfectants for managing the refugee crisis in Ukraine and the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to the ministry, 200,000 bottles of hand hygiene solution, 770 kg of medicines, medical supplies and 900 ampoules of Tocilizumab – an injectable drug used in the treatment of COVID-19 and rheumatoid arthritis – arrived in Chisinau.
In 2020-2021, the WHO, with its partners, the European Union, USAID, the governments of Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Norway and Austria, procured and brought to our country medical equipment and consumables worth about $8.4 million. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
