In March, Ukraine’s exports reduced by 57.9% compared to February and imports – by 75.8%. The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian State Statistics Service.
“In March, compared to February, the seasonally adjusted export volumes reduced by 57.9% and import volumes – by 75.8%. The seasonally adjusted foreign trade balance was positive in March, totaling $819.4 million,” the report states.
According to the Ukrainian State Statistics service, the foreign trade balance was negative in February ($969.0 million).
Meanwhile, in the first quarter of 2022, Ukraine’s exports of goods reached $14,100.7 million (or 102.9% compared to the first quarter of 2021) and imports – $14,132.3 million (or 94.4%). The negative foreign trade balance was $31.6 million (compared to the negative foreign trade balance of $1,271.6 million in January-March 2021). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
