Construction work on the Moldovan-Slovak project “Improving the quality of life of the citizens of Rezina: ensuring access to the sewerage system” started on May 16 in Rezina. The implementation of the project is planned until March 2023.
The project works include the construction of a part of the sewer system in Rezina, with a total length of 3390 m.
“The activities of the project support the inhabitants of Rezina, by creating the conditions for connection to the sewerage system for 7.4% of the city’s population, which represents 225 households or about 900 people,” said the Regional Development Agency (ADR) Center.
Through this project, local authorities aim to contribute to other local initiatives aimed at improving sanitation systems (for example, a new wastewater treatment plant). At the same time, a series of activities will be carried out to raise public awareness about the rational use of drinking water and the protection of soil, groundwater and the Dniester River.
The total value of the project is 218,020 euros, of which the Slovak partner comes with the amount of 198,200 euros, and the Senec-Pezinok Regional Development Agency (Slovakia) will co-finance the project with 19,820 euros. (Moldpres/Business World Magazine)
