The value of the Polish e-commerce market reached PLN 111 billion (EUR 23.9 billion) in 2021, of which 56% were goods and 44% services, the PMR researcher found.
Online sales of services were worth PLN 48.7 billion (EUR billion) in 2021 and are expected to double, to PLN 97 billion (EUR 20.9 billion), until 2027, PMR said.
Until 2027, Poles will order services worth over PLN 200 million online, according to the researcher.
“According to PMR forecasts, the e-commerce services market will maintain a strong upward trend in the coming years,” PMR wrote in its report.
“The growth of the market will be stimulated by high demand that will be supported by a favourable condition of the labour market and real wage growth in the population,” PMR added.
“In the long-term, the market will also be supported by the growing number of services available only through the internet,” PMR observed. (The First News/Business World Magazine)
