Energoatom, the national nuclear energy operator, has incurred material damage of more than UAH 18 billion amid Russian invasion.
Energoatom issued the relevant statement via Telegram.
“As the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) was being shelled, Russian invaders attacked a number of facilities on its premises, inflicting damage that was estimated at UAH 18.3 billion,” the statement reads.
Energoatom has said that the sum includes the value of everything destroyed by Russian invaders during the storming of the ZNPP. That includes the building of the Training Center that was damaged beyond repair, the Atomenergomash facility hit by the Russian convoy and the equipment belonging to the Atomremontservis, stored on the NPP premises at the time of the attack.
