Ukraine in 2020 updated highs for sunflower oil exports for the second time in a row, the press service of the National Scientific Center “Institute of Agrarian Economics” reported.
“In 2020, exports from Ukraine for the second time in a row reached record highs of 6.9 million tons, thereby exceeding the 2019 6.1-million tons record by 12%,” it said.
“Revenue from sunflower oil sales amounted to $5.3 billion, up by 24%,” it said.
The highest demand for Ukrainian sunflower oil was traditionally recorded from India (25.1%). China purchased about one-fifth of all shipments (19.3%).
