The Finance Ministry expects that the appointment of Andrii Kravets as Chairman of the Board of Ukrgasbank will ensure the continuation of successful operations of the financial institution, the ministry’s press service reports.
“The Finance Ministry welcomes the decision of the Supervisory Board of Ukrgasbank. We hope that the appointment of Andrii Kravets as Chairman of the Board will ensure the continuation of bank’s successful operations. As you know, we are now finalizing the text of the agreement with IFC, under which Ukrgasbank will receive a loan in the amount of EUR 30 million, which will be then converted into bank’s capital. This is an important step in the process of privatization of Ukrgasbank and reduction of the government’s share in the banking sector. We expect from the new Chairman of the Board of Ukrgasbank fruitful work in implementing the government-approved principles of strategic reform of the public banking sector,” Deputy Finance Minister Yuriy Drahanchuk commented on the appointment of the new head of Ukrgasbank.
