In February, consumer prices in Ukraine decreased by 0.3% MoM, according to the State Statistics Service.
“Consumer prices in February decreased by 0.3% compared to January and by 0.1% since the beginning of the year. Core inflation in February made up 0.1% compared to January and 0.3% since the beginning of the year,” reads the report.
Consumer prices in February decreased by 0.3% MoM, but grew by 2.4% YoY. In January-February, consumer prices rose by 2.8% YoY.
Among consumer goods and services, in February 2020 compared to February 2019, the largest increase in prices was recorded in prices for water supply (25.8%), drainage services (21.6%) and education (13.3%).
The largest fall in prices from February 2019 to February 2020 was recorded in prices for natural gas (31.3%), eggs (27.7%) and vegetables (14.3%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
