The exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the hryvnia is expected to weaken this week, and the cash dollar in banks can trade at about UAH 23.3/23.5, according to a weekly forecast made by Alpari.
“This week we expect a decrease in the exchange rate of the dollar to the hryvnia. The dollar on the interbank market can trade this week at about UAH 23.4, and the cash dollar in banks can trade at about UAH 23.3/23.5,” the company said in a statement.
Alpari said that last week, the exchange rate of the U.S. dollar against the hryvnia decreased by 1-1.2% in all segments of the foreign exchange market.
Compared to December 2, the official U.S. dollar exchange rate set by the National Bank of Ukraine decreased from UAH 23.97 to UAH 23.72 (-1%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
