In January-March, the National Bank of Ukraine recovered UAH 1.15 billion of refinancing loans issued to insolvent banks, the central bank’s press service reported.
“In the first quarter of 2019, the National Bank of Ukraine received UAH 151.5 million for repayment of insolvent bank refinancing loans. This amount consists of proceeds from the sale of property (assets) by the Deposit Guarantee Fund and funds received from other sources,” reads the report.
The largest amount of funds was obtained from the sale of property rights – UAH 1.044 billion, and the sale of real estate – UAH 57.4 million. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
