Ukrainian sugar refineries have produced 1.69 million tons of sugar since August 30, 2018, when the current sugar production season began with the launch of a sugar refinery in Tomashpil, Vinnytsia region.
“As of January 14, some 1.69 million tons of sugar had been produced and 12.46 million tons of sugar beets had been processed,” the press service of the National Association of Sugar Producers of Ukraine (NASU) “Ukrtsukor” said in a statement.
As reported, 40 sugar refineries out of the planned 42 were in operation in Ukraine as of January 14. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
