Ukraine’s Roshen Confectionery Corporation says that its sweets reportedly sold in stores located in the Russia-occupied territories, namely in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, as well as in Crimea, could have been smuggled.
“We don’t have reliable information about the origin of those sweets there, but we don’t rule out our products could have been sold by third parties in the temporarily occupied territories in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, and in the annexed Crimea. The corporation cannot control the movement of its products after they have been sold by official distributors, therefore we admit they could have been smuggled or supplied by second-hand dealers,” the corporation’s press service said.
At the same time, the company says that Roshen does not sell products in the temporarily occupied territories in the said regions. (UNIAN/Business World Magazine)
