Ukrainian enterprises have sent more than UAH 1.5 billion of environmental tax to the consolidated budget. This year’s revenues increased by 6.8% compared to the corresponding figure last year.
Among the leaders in payment are:
– Kyiv – UAH 325.2 million;
– Dnipropetrovsk region – UAH 295.8 million;
– Ivano-Frankivsk region – UAH 153.3 million;
– Zaporizhzhia region – UAH 107.9 million.
Payers of environmental tax are business entities that carry out:
– Emissions of pollutants into the atmospheric air by stationary sources;
– Discharges of pollutants directly into water bodies;
– Waste disposal;
– Generation and temporary storage of radioactive waste.
Payers include enterprises, institutions and organizations, as well as individual entrepreneurs, if their activities are accompanied by the specified environmental impacts. (State Tax Service)
