The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved a resolution drafted by the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development stipulating for an increase of the authorized capital of the SI “Energy Efficiency Fund” by UAH 629.7 million.
As a result, the Fund’s authorized capital will exceed UAH 3.6 billion, enabling increased funding for a range of energy efficiency programs for multiapartment buildings (homeowners’ associations and housing cooperatives).
“We are strengthening the energy autonomy of apartment buildings and offering effective tools that will enable buildings to become completely energy-independent. Energy efficiency programs that provide Ukrainians with basic living conditions even during attacks and widespread power outages have already proven their effectiveness, so we are increasing funding for the Fund so that as many buildings as possible can receive financial support from the state,” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine and Minister for Communities and Territories Development Oleksii Kuleba.
These funds will be used, in particular, to expand and continue programs such as:
– EnergoDIM – allows homeowners’ associations to recover 60 to 70% of the costs of energy efficiency measures;
– VidnovyDIM program – provides financial support for construction work to restore residential buildings damaged as a result of russia’s military aggression against Ukraine;
– GreenDIM – thanks to this program, homeowners’ associations and housing cooperatives can receive up to 70% reimbursement for the cost of purchased solar power plants, energy storage systems, and heat pumps, and up to 50% of the cost of generators.
Funding will also be allocated to partially reimburse the costs of building insulation, the installation of metering devices, and housing renovations. (Government portal)
