The state consistently fulfils its obligations to its citizens. This was emphasised by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet on May 21.
“In four months of 2025, UAH 1.2 trillion was spent from the general fund of the state budget on priority expenditures,” the Head of Government said.
He stressed that more than UAH 365 billion of these funds were allocated to pay salaries to the military, almost UAH 84 billion – to purchase equipment, weapons, ammunition and food for the Defence Forces.
“In total, more than 60% of all expenditures of the general fund of the state budget were spent on security and defence. Full funding of the Defence Forces has been a constant priority of the Government since the first days of the full-scale invasion. The state fulfils all its obligations to our defenders on time and in full. This will continue to be the case,” the Prime Minister stressed.
Denys Shmyhal also said that among the total budget expenditures, the key one was the financing of the social sector. In particular, over 4 months, the Medical Guarantee Programme has been financed by more than UAH 50 billion, almost UAH 213 billion has been allocated for social payments, benefits, scholarships and another UAH 54 billion for community support.
The Prime Minister noted the assistance in financing the non-military expenditures of the country’s partners, but at the same time stressed that russia must pay for all the damage and crimes it had caused, both through the responsibility of criminals and financially. (Government portal)
