The Moldova Fruct Association, with the support of Switzerland and the Helvetas organization, through the OPTIM Project, on January 15-18 organized a study visit to Poland, focused on technologies and innovations in the fruit growing sector, both within the 14th issue of the TSW exhibition in the Kielce city and on the spot.
The visit’s goal was to familiarize Moldovan fruits producers with the most recent tendencies and practices in the production and sale of fruits. The visit was also aimed at taking over the Polish farmers’ experience as to the innovating systems of forming the corona, of solutions of prolonging the optimum period of apples’ harvesting and introduction of new varieties in the long run.
The mission included meetings with Polish farmers and companies, during which the Moldovan producers and exporters were able to explore modern technologies of fruits’ production, the promising varieties, modern equipment of sorting and packing, as well as practical solutions of marketing and logistics. Also, the delegation members visited the TSW 2024 exhibition in Kielce.
“The commercial component of this mission was not absent too. Thus, the delegation members paid a visit to the Bronisze wholesale market, where they had established meetings with distributors of stone fruits and table grapes. This event is important for the Moldovan producers and exporters of fruits, as it gives them possibility to take over the best practices and innovations from one of the most dynamic European market of fruits. The visit will also contribute to the development of partnerships and transfers of advanced technologies in the sectors of fruits from Moldova,” the Moldova Fruct association said.
