More than 30 million tons of imported goods were delivered to Ukraine last year, of which almost 11 million tons were delivered by trucks.
The volume of imports increased most rapidly from March to May 2022. At this time, the sector managed to return to the volume of international road freight traffic that Ukraine had before the full-scale invasion of russia. From May to the last day of 2022, the volume of imported goods that were brought into the country by road was constantly and gradually growing.
The second largest volume of imports into the country was by rail (9.89 million tons) and the third largest was by sea (7.16 million tons).
The leader in the export of goods last year was maritime transport, with 53.86 million tons. The second largest was the railway (33.73 million tons). The third largest was road transport (12 million tons).
In total, in 2022, Ukraine exported almost 99.8 million tons of goods and imported more than 30.34 million tons. The exports value amounted to almost $44.2 billion, while imports totaled more than $54.5 billion. (Government portal/Business World Magazine)
