Ukraine has already sent 120,000 tons of grain as part of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), namely to Ethiopia, Yemen and Afghanistan.
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry on Facebook.
“As part of the UN World Food Programme, a total of 120,000 tons of wheat has already been exported via Ukrainian ports. In particular, food aid was sent to Ethiopia, Yemen and Afghanistan,” the report states.
On September 22, the fourth vessel chartered by the UN World Food Programme left Ukraine’s Odesa Port. The bulk carrier BC Vanessa will deliver 30,000 tons of wheat for Afghanistan.
“We would like to emphasize that our priority is to promptly receive, load and send ships delivering food aid to people, who are on the edge of starvation,” the ministry noted. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
