In April, the Ukrainian State Air Traffic Services Enterprise (UkSATSE) provided air navigation services to 13,661 flights, UkSATSE wrote on Facebook.
In April, the number of flights increased by 476.4% compared to April 2020, when quarantine restrictions were in force in Ukraine and civil aviation flights were suspended.
“However, the comparison with the corresponding period of the pre-crisis 2019 shows realistic dynamics – air traffic this April is 43.4% lower,” the company said.
Thus, Ukrainian airlines performed 5,062 flights (down by 40.8% from the pre-crisis April 2019) and foreign airlines – 8,599 flights (-44.9%).
Air traffic distribution by flight types in April was as follows: 1,945 domestic flights (24.6% less than in April 2019), 6,875 international flights (-46.1%) and 4,841 transit flights (-45%). (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
