Ukraine International Airlines takes the 4th place in the listing of the most punctual international carriers operating into Beijing Capital International Airport as of April.
In April, UIA operated 30 non-stop flights Kyiv-Beijing-Kyiv, with at least 26 of them – on time. The high level of punctuality – around 83.33% – allowed the leading Ukrainian carrier to take the 4th place in the rate of the most punctual international carriers, sharing it with Swiss International and giving up on such airlines as SriLankan Airlines (88.24%), Air Astana (85.11%) and Azerbaijan Airlines (84.62%).
Ranking was held with international airlines, which operated from 8 to 59 flights from the terminals of Beijing Capital International Airport in April.
“Regular punctuality ratings are an effective instrument of quality assessment and interaction between carrier, handling service and airport. They are very important in operating long-haul flights, in particular to/from Beijing, to provide on time and convenient connections to the other points of UIA’s branched route network and keep schedule in such a way, which allows providing the aircraft turn for both directions within twenty four hours”, noted Evgeniya Satska, UIA Communications Director. “Besides, it is worth to mark a fact that there is a necessity to fly around the closed air space over the territory of the Russia Federation, which makes this route longer. As a result, it makes unfavorable competitive conditions for UIA in comparison with airlines, which have the opportunities to operate the flights from Beijing to the West by straighter and shorter routes. We in UIA are proud of this fact that our team keeps high level of punctuality stably”. (UIA/Business World Magazine)
