The leading Ukrainian producers of food and agricultural products plan to expand business cooperation with the UAE.
This was stated during the Gulfood Briefing held at the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
During the event, the results of participation of Ukrainian companies in the Gulfood-2019, the world’s largest annual food, beverage and equipment exhibition held in Dubai, were summed up.
“In 2018, Ukraine significantly expanded the export geography of its agricultural products, our producers opened 85 new markets. However, in order to radically increase export deliveries and sign long-term contracts, it is extremely important to take part in international exhibitions and forums attended by food market participants from the whole world,” said President of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mykola Zasulsky.
The briefing was attended by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Arab Emirates Salem Ahmed Al-Kaabi, Director of the state enterprise Export Promotion Office Andriy Demchuk, officials of the Kyiv Chamber of Commerce, as well as business representatives of Ukraine and foreign countries.
Salem Ahmed Al-Kaabi noted that the UAE sought to make economic cooperation with Ukraine even more dynamic and productive and added that the volume of trade in goods and services between the two countries reached $1 billion in 2018. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
