In 2018, Kazakhstan exported 24,600 tons of fish products to the amount of $56.5 million, Saken Dildakhmet, press secretary of the Agriculture Ministry’ Forestry Committee, reported.
Meanwhile, Kazakhstan imported 34,300 tons of fish products worth $70.7 million. Oceanic fish and sea products comprise 80% of the import, Saken Dildakhmet posted on his FB account.
The main importers of fish products are the U.S. ($17.9 million), Japan ($11.7 million), China ($8 million), Spain ($6.8 million), Vietnam ($6.1 million), France ($5.4 million), Italy ($5.1 million), Germany ($4.7 million) and others. (Kazinform/Business World Magazine)
