The volume of gas transit from the Russian Federation through the Ukrainian gas transmission system (GTS) in January amounted to 7.6 billion cubic meters, up by 25% YoY, the press service of JSC Ukrtransgaz reported on the results of the Ukrainian GTS in January.
Ukraine did not pump gas into underground storage facilities in January as in January 2018. At the same time, Ukraine withdrew 2.7 billion cubic meters of gas from underground storage facilities during the first month of 2019.
As of January 31, there were 11.2 billion cubic meters of gas in the Ukrainian underground storage facilities.
In total, Ukraine in January imported 0.2 billion cubic meters of gas from the Slovak, Hungarian and Polish destinations. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
