Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman says that Ukraine’s economy has been growing for 11 quarters in a row, but the government still needs external support so that to pay off its foreign debt, the government portal reports.
“The economy has been growing for 11 quarters in a row, which means the recovery has begun. In general, in the context of the needs of the state, everything is normal and balanced. But in the context of debts, external support is needed so that to loan up and pay off previous debts. The years 2019-2021 are the peak payout years,” said Groysman.
At the same time, he stressed that funds were taken under the fulfillment of certain obligations that must be carried out in order to regain creditors’ confidence.
As reported, Ukraine should send $33 billion to service its foreign debt within next five years (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
