Avangard plans to recover the second position in the list of the world’s largest egg producers, lost as a result of military aggression in Donbas, Oleg Bakhmatyuk, owner of UkrLandFarming (ULF) and Avangard, announced.
“Over the past four years we have invested more than $2.2 billion in agricultural assets in Ukraine. We are working to make Avangard return its position as the second largest chicken egg producer in the world. We lost our positions not only because of the political events of 2013-2014 but also because of the loss of the domestic market in the eastern regions of Ukraine,” said Bakhmatyuk.
He also stressed that UkrLandFarming constantly introduced new technologies in production.
“Definitely, our growth rate will be higher if we get state support, as companies in most other countries do,” he adds. (UkrAgroConsult/Business World Magazine)
