Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has stated that the foreign debts accumulated for 2005-2013 impede raising social standards in Ukraine now.
He said this at a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Economic Policy.
“In 2005-2013 Ukraine accumulated almost $50 billion in foreign debts. This year we have to spend UAH 130 billion to service these debts. In the next five years we have to pay $33 billion without servicing. These are serious resources, which put a strain on the Ukrainian economy, the Ukrainian budget and hinder us from raising social standards,” Groysman said. (Ukrinform/Business World Magazine)
