Belarus reports a quantitative increase in exports of meat and dairy products in January-June, Belstat said in a statistical report.
Meat export grew by 13% YoY to 154,800 tons, the average price was down by 17.8% to $2,058 per ton. The CIS states were the major destination of almost all Belarus’ meat exports.
Export of milk and dairy products grew by 12.2% in January-June to 538,000 tons, the average price was down by 14.1% to $1,544 per ton. Belarus’ dairy exports to the CIS states totaled 536,700 tons (up by 12.6%) at the average price of $1,545 per ton (down by 14.2%), other foreign states – 1,300 tons (down by 48%) at the average price of $1,094 (up by 19.7%) per ton.
In value terms, milk and condensed cream account for the largest drop in export proceeds – down by 12% YoY to $218.5 million. (Prime-TASS/Business World Magazine)
