In the course of the regular auction held by Azerbaijan’s State Committee on Property Issues on November 29, 19 state property units have been sold as part of a new privatization program.
Three small state property units and one unused non-residential area of the privatized objects are located in Baku, one facility is located in the city of Ganja, two facilities are in Tovuz city, and two unused non-residential areas are in the city of Goychay. Among the privatized objects are two big industrial enterprises Metalqab and Zaqatala Kendkimya joint stock companies.
Azerbaijan’s state budget will receive 500,000 manats as a result of the privatization of these facilities.
The next auction, which is to be held on December 6, will see 100 state-owned properties put up for privatization.
The third stage of privatization started as part of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s decree on additional measures to improve the state property privatization process dated May 19, as well as the president’s decree on some measures to improve the management efficiency and speed up the state property privatization process dated July 19.
